Stewards spoke to Mr G Condon, the trainer of Sharp Spur regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sharp Spur last raced 11 February 2017 and has had a change of kennel during this time.

Prince Rohnomy and Atigrado collided approaching the first turn checking Atigrado.  Gestalt Allen and Gin Lee's Pearl collided approaching the home turn.  Sharp Spur and Gestalt Allen collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Prince Rohnomy and Kelly's Star collided in the home straight.  

American Hustle was a late scratching at 8:36am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gin Lee's bullet and Soap collided as a result, checking both greyhounds.  

Tiger Girl was quick to begin.  Parie Shiraz was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Go Go Pipsqueak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right wrist, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Crackerjack Jim was slow to begin.  Jagged Ice crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Jessica's Girl, Sapphire Hawke, Crackerjack Jim and Belron Gaz.  Jessica's Girl galloped on Jagged Ice on the first turn checking Ollie Pedro, Voluptuous Ruby and severely checking Jessica's Girl, Jagged Ice and causing Sapphire Hawke to race wide.  Belron Gaz checked off Stitch Gun Miss entering the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr R. Eades, the trainer of Bling Legacy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Bling Legacy last raced on 27/01/2017. Mr Eades stated that the greyhound was returning from a right ulna injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Bling Legacy trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 36.0kgs the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 6.5 lengths. Bling Legacy was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr B. Toner, the trainer of Select Racer regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Select Racer last raced on 28/08/2016. Mr Toner stated that the greyhound was returning a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Select Racer trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75 lengths. Select Racer was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Khawaja trialled over the 400 mtrs from box 3, weight 30.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.68,the greyhound was beaten a margin of 5.25 lengths. Khawaja was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
