Stewards spoke to Mr R. Tartaglia trainer of Thunder Raz, regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Thunder Raz last raced on 2nd September 2017. Mr Tartaglia stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a spell.
Roaring Rampage and Rebecca Bale were quick to begin. Cee Righty, Thunder Raz and Ocean Bay collided approaching the first turn, checking Thunder Raz. Cee Righty checked off the heels of Ocean Bay on the first turn. Airborn And Gone and Roaring Rampage collided on the home turn.
