Aston Utah and Siamese Dream collided on the first turn, checking Siamese Dream, Tansy Girl and Dubai Prince, severely checking Go Commando and Wok Fried Yabby. Coby Ago Go tailed off in the back straight. 

Coby Ago Go was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right hind leg and soreness to the spine and left hip muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Fred Dagg was quick to begin. Ratajkowski was slow to begin. Titanium Boy and Mercedes Red collided soon after the start. Mercedes Red and Ratajkowski collided on the first turn. Evelyn and No Excuse collided on the first turn. Ratajkowski galloped on the heels of Evelyn entering the back straight. Mercedes Red galloped on the heels of Evelyn in the back straight. Evelyn veered out in the home straight, checking Ratajkowski.

Punters Paradise, Fess Crockett and Ollie Buck were slow to begin. Pancake and Scooby Boy collided soon after the start. Punters Paradise and Pancake collided approaching the first turn. Punters Paradise, Pancake and Scooby Boy collided on the first turn. Ollie Buck checked off Pancake on the first turn. Pancake checked off Punters Paradise in the back straight, checking Scooby Boy. Pancake checked off Punters Paradise on the third turn and the home turn. 

Scooby Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right fore leg and soreness to the right pencil muscle, left hip muscle and both deltoid muscles, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Makikos and Vis Vitae were slow to begin. Go Seek Heidi and Marcus Daking collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Makikos checked off Dr. Cadenza approaching the second turn. Dr. Cadenza and Vis Vitae collided approaching the third turn and on the third turn, checking Dr. Cadenza. 

Kraken Mazing was a late scratching at 5:34am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Give Away King and Roman Around collided soon after the start. Merry Magic and Khaleesi Girl collided approaching the first turn. Diamond and Diamond Ruby collided on the first turn and the second turn. Give Away King, Diamond and Khaleesi Girl collided on the third turn. Roman Around checked off the heels of Khaleesi Girl approaching the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Diamond Ruby - placed 2nd in the event. 

Emio Bale and Shy Freddie were quick to begin. Canya Sassy checked off Myrniong Cosmo approaching the first turn. Canya Sassy and Pink Floyd collided approaching the first turn. Myrniong Cosmo veered out on the first turn, checking Canya Sassy, Emio Bale, Lightwood Miss and Share. Emio Bale and Lightwood Miss collided approaching the third turn and again on the third turn.

Billy Deeds, Sturridge, Magenta Gold and Slippery Sam were slow to begin. Billy Deeds and Sturridge collided soon after the start, checking Sturridge. Magenta Gold checked off Sturridge approaching the first turn. Slippery Sam checked off Dr. Watson approaching the first turn. Slingshot Sambo and Dr. Watson collided on the first turn, checking Slingshot Sambo, Slippery Sam and Dr. Watson. Slingshot Sambo checked off Jesse's Typhoon in the back straight. Billy Deeds and Jesse's Typhoon collided approaching the second turn, checking Jesse's Typhoon and Slippery Sam. Slingshot Sambo and Jesse's Typhoon collided in the back straight. Magenta Gold and Slippery Sam collided approaching the third turn, checking both greyhounds.

Runnin' On Fire and Foxy Whip were slow to begin. Betty La Fae and Cosmic Coaster collided soon after the start, checking Cosmic Coaster. Cosmic Coaster raced wide entering the front straight and again on the second turn. Gunnewin and Runnin' On Fire collided entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Runnin' On Fire - the winner of the event. 

Gunnewin was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Bartlett, the handler of Gunnewin regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. 

Dr. Flannigan was quick to begin. Lido's Boy and Manhattan Man were slow to begin. May Haze and Noosa Parade collided approaching the first turn, checking Noosa Parade and My Girl Lava. Noosa Parade checked off My Girl Lava on the first turn. My Haze and Dance Craze collided on the second turn, checking Dance Craze. My Girl Lava checked off Manhattan Man entering the back straight. My Girl Lava faltered in the back straight. 

My Girl Lava was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a toe fracture to the left hind leg, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Candy Rose was slow to begin. Ocean View and Dr. Paulina collided soon after the start. Dr. Tracey checked off Give Me Wings soon after the start. Ocean View, Dr. Paulina and Nice Work collided on the first turn, checking Nice Work.  Ocean View and Dr. Paulina collided approaching the second turn. Nice Work contacted the running rail on the second turn and faltered and pulled up as a result. Dr. Tracey and Candy Rose collided entering the back straight. Dr. Paulina and Give Me Wings collided in the back straight. 

Nice Work was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to the right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre race sample was taken from Absolute Breeze.

Radiant Angel was quick to begin. Reality Thunder was slow to begin. Fleet Trades crossed to the inside and collided with Kruzin' Cripps and Trim City soon after the start. Kruzin' Cripps, Trim City and Reality Thunder collided approaching the first turn. Fleet Trades and My Miss Molly collided on the first turn, checking My Miss Molly. Trim City and Reality Thunder collided on the first turn. Wild Hunny and Absolute Breeze collided on the first turn. Kruzin' Cripps and Trim City collided on the first turn, checking Reality Thunder. Fleet Trades checked off Absolute Breeze on the third turn. Kruzin' Cripps checked off My Miss Molly approaching the home turn.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to the veterinarian treating an injured greyhound. 

Black Shirley and Pingin' Bee were slow to begin. Pingin' Bee, Perfect Nature and All You Got collided soon after the start, checking Black Shirley, Pingin' Bee, Perfect Nature and All You Got. Black Shirley and Pingin' Bee collided approaching the first turn, checking Pingin' Bee. Perfect Nature checked off All You Got approaching the first turn. Black Shirley and All You Got collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds and causing Lace Monster to race wide as a result. Black Shirley and Perfect Nature collided entering the back straight, checking Lace Monster, Black Shirley, Perfect Nature and Al You Got. Lace Monster and Perfect Nature collided in the back straight. Lace Monster and Perfect Nature collided on the home turn. Lace Monster raced wide in the home straight. 

Following the event Stewards declared "Hold All Tickets"  and delayed the all clear after a pigeon hit the lure in the back straight. Stewards reviewed all available footage of this event Stewards gave the All Clear on Dr. Jezabel, Marvellous Midge, Razzle Oak, Pingin' Bee and All You Got. Stewards declared Lace Monster, Black Shirley and Perfect Nature Non-Starters in this event as in the opinion of Stewards pursuant to GAR 56(2)(b), a greyhound, through an extraordinary circumstance has had its chances in a race materially prejudiced.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dreamy Julian trialled over the 515m from box 3, weight 26.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 29.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .75 lengths. Dreamy Julian was cleared.
