Clarence Clocka was slow to begin. Lakeview Miss, Rip Van Winkle, Ultimate Conor and Sir Richard collided soon after the start checking Lakeview Miss and Ultimate Conor. Clarence Clocka galloped on Rip Van Winkle approaching the first turn causing Rip Wan Winkle to brush the running rail. Sir Richard galloped on Clarence Clocka on the first turn causing Clarence Clocka to race wide checking Simply Mystic. Lakeview Miss and Ultimate Conor collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post
Sir Richard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left front foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
