The start of this event was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to Track Attendant Mr. C. Moran's non arrival on course.
Canya Wilber was quick to begin. Hurricane Ben was very slow to begin (4 lengths). That James Boy was very slow to begin (6 lengths). Wot Price Boofa, Maximum Lass and Sure Load collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Sure Load galloped on Maximum Lass on the first turn. Maximum Lass and Wot Price Boofa collided and raced wide on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Aston Veloci raced wide approaching the home turn. That James Boy raced wide on the home turn.
