Canya Wilber was quick to begin.  Hurricane Ben was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  That James Boy was very slow to begin (6 lengths). Wot Price Boofa, Maximum Lass and Sure Load collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Sure Load galloped on Maximum Lass on the first turn.  Maximum Lass and Wot Price Boofa collided and raced wide on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Aston Veloci raced wide approaching the home turn.  That James Boy raced wide on the home turn.

Hedonistic, Dr. Dedra and Hypo Chared were slow to begin.  Hypo Chared and Buzz Off Mumma collided soon after the start.  Dr. Dedra, Fernando Rhythm, Casper's Fantasy and Mother Monster collided soon after the start.  Fernando Rhythm, Mother Monster and Casper's Fantasy collided approaching the first turn checking Casper's Fantasy and Fernando Rhythm.  Eden Monaro crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Mother Monster checking Casper's Fantasy and Fernando Rhythm.  Mother Monster and Hedonistic collided approaching the first turn checking Hedonistic.  Hypo Chared and Mother Monster collided on the first turn checking Hypo Chared.  Dr. Dedra raced wide on the first turn.  Fernando Rhythm galloped on Hedonistic on the home turn.

Surfonic Pearl was a late scratching at 12.23pm due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hurricane Brad, Just Won Lotto and Dr. Lola were slow to begin.  Hurricane Brad lost ground on the first turn.  Yo Adrian was checked off Vladimir Rose approaching the home turn.

Hurricane Brad was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mallee Spring was a late scratching at 2.19pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury.  A  21 day stand down period was imposed.

No Passengers was quick to begin.  Shall She Cindy and Amaroo Bazinga were slow to begin.  Mahi Indian and Whiskey Rose collided soon after the start.  Markinch Maid and Dahlhaus collided soon after the start.  Dahlhaus and Amaroo Bazinga collided approaching the first turn.  Whiskey Rose and Mahi Indian collided on the first turn.  Whiskey Rose raced wide in the back straight. Amaroo Bazinga failed to pursue the lure in the back straight and collided with Whiskey Rose.  Shall She Cindy and Mahi Indian collided on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Schembri the trainer of the greyhound Amaroo Bazinga regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the back straight.  Amaroo Bazinga was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1)  Stewards charged Amaroo Bazinga was failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Schembri pleaded guilty to the charge, Amaroo Bazinga was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Templeton the trainer of Mix Off Harmony regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mix Off Harmony last raced on 16/08/17.  Mr. Templeton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel and a right hock injury.

Merchant Prince was slow to begin.  Supraspinatus, Trap Queen, Mix Off Harmony, Ellen's Stardust and Sunset Believer collided on the first turn checking Mix Off Harmony.  Trap Queen, Ellen's Stardust and Sunset Believer collided entering the back straight checking Sunset Believer, Ellen's Stardust and Mix Off Harmony.  Gold Odessa was checked off Sunset Believer on the second turn.  Supraspinatus stumbled and lost ground on the second turn.  Supraspintus and Sunset Believer collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post causing Sunset Believer to brush the running rail.

Supraspinatus was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Zaynabi, Akina Dee Jay and Dr. Cadenza were slow to begin.  Lakeview Isla, Akina Dee Jay and Johnny Bullet collided soon after the start.  Lakeview Isla, Dr. Cadenza and Akina Dee Jay collided approaching the first turn.  Red Rocks, Good Odds Ava, Johnny Bullet and Cryer's Plugger collided on the first turn.  Akina Dee Jay and Dr. Cadenza collided on the first turn.  Lakeview Isla and Akina Dee Jay collided in the back straight.  Johnny Bullet was checked off Dyna Zaynabi on the third turn checking Johnny Bullet, Akina Dee Jay, Dr. Cadenza and Lakeview Isla.  Johnny Bullet and Dr. Cadenza collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Johnny Bullet lost ground in the home straight.

Double Black was slow to begin.  Vee Bee Mate, Aston Halle and Peaked collided soon after the start.  Aston Halle and Vee Bee Mate collided on the first turn.  Vee Bee Mate was checked off Aston Halle approaching the home turn.  Peaked was checked off Hurricane Craig entering the home straight checking Blackpool Remi and severely checking Peaked and Aston Halle.  Dr. Sparkles and Double Black collided entering the home straight.  Dr. Sparkles, Vee Bee Mate and Double Black collided approaching the winning post.

Sir Richard was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left front foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Rip Van Winkle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Snoop A Loop and Five Lights were quick to begin.  Dr. Luvdisc was slow to begin.  Eduardo Rose and Dyna Misty collided soon after the start.  Eduardo Rose, Dyna Misty and Simbarea collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Misty.  Five Lights was checked off Eduardo Rose on the first turn checking Riverside Kim.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Ryan the trainer of Caidan Marlo regarding the length of time since the greyhound raced.  Caidan Marlo last raced on 25/07/16.  Ms. Ryan stated that the greyhound is returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Caidan Marlo trialed over 395 metres from box 5, weight 28.6kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.09 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .75 length.  Caidan Marlo was cleared.

Satisfactory trial result:-

Missed My Stop trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 31.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.09 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .5 length.  Missed My Stop was cleared.

Vapouriser trialled over 395 metres from box 8, weight 33.7kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.09 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .5 length.  Vapouriser was cleared

Lochinvar Rox trialled over 395 metres from box 2, weight 32.3kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.09 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths.  Lochinvar Rox was cleared.
