Lady La Deeda and Tallinn Power collided approaching the home turn checking Lady La Deeda. Galo's Best and Cosmic Lachy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Lady La Deeda checked off Tallinn Power in the home straight. Millett and Tallinn Power collided in the home straight. Proven Strudel and Lady La Deeda collided approaching the winning post. Good Humour eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Good Humour regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Good Humour was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left wrist and right elbow. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Good Humour with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charge. Good Humour was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Samples were taken from the first place greyhounds which were a dead-heat - Millett and Good Humour.
