Millett and Cosmic Lachy were slow to begin.  Twilight Liason and Proven Strudel collided approaching the first turn checking Twilight Liason.  Lady La Deeda and Tallinn Power collided approaching the home turn checking Lady La Deeda.  Galo's Best and Cosmic Lachy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Lady La Deeda checked off Tallinn Power in the home straight.  Millett and Tallinn Power collided in the home straight.  Proven Strudel and Lady La Deeda collided approaching the winning post.  Good Humour eased approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Clark, the trainer of the greyhound Good Humour regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Good Humour was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left wrist and right elbow.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Good Humour with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Clark pleaded guilty to the charge.  Good Humour was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Minka's Destiny was a late scratching at 2:03pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Tippa Power and Greysynd Sofi collided soon after the start.  Tippa Power, Greysynd Sofi, All Inn Youi and My Fernando Tim collided approaching the first turn.  Greysynd Sofi galloped on the heels of My Fernando Tim on the first turn severely checking All Inn Youi and Greysynd Sofi and causing My Fernando Tim to fall.

My Fernando Tim was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury and abrasions to its left stifle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Barbados was quick to begin.  Squirto, Brazen Bull, Oaklands and Become The Fuse collided approaching the first turn checking Squirto and severely checking Become The Fuse.  Beyond The Vally, Bundarra Magic and Fawn Pursuit collided on the first turn checking Become The Fuse.  Become The Fuse contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Brazen Bull, Bundarra Magic and Fawn Pursuit collided approaching the home turn checking Bundarra Magic and Fawn Pursuit.  Squirto and Fawn Pursuit collided entering the home straight.

Become The Fuse was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to its left front foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Black Taipan trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 33.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 5th, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.44.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18.75 lengths.  Black Taipan was not cleared.

Black Taipan was vetted following the trial.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. B. Kinder, the trainer of Emgee Sprinter regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Emgee Sprinter last raced on 1st June 2017.  Ms. Kinder stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a change of kennel and an extended spell.  Emgee Sprinter trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 34.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.44.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.25 lengths.  Emgee Sprinter was cleared.
