Stylish Chief, Scoota Flash and Billiluna collided soon after the start checking Scoota Flash. Stylish Chief and Ariki Whero collided approaching the first turn. Reality Thunder, Billiluna and Scoota Flash collided on the first turn checking Scoota Flash. No Money Down, Ariki Whero and Stylish Chief collided on the first turn checking Stylish Chief. Reality Thunder and Ariki Whero collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Reality Thunder and Tooralee collided entering the home straight. Stylish Chief and Scoota Flash collided in the home straight. Scoota Flash and Ariki Whero collided approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Scott, the trainer of Revin Kevin regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Revin Kevin last raced on 18th May 2017. Mr. Scott stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Revin Kevin trialled over the 390mt from box 5, weight 30.3kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.40, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14L. Revin Kevin was not cleared.
