Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr S Collyer, kennel representative of St Paul regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. St Paul last raced on 16 June 2017. Mr Collyer stated that the greyhound was resuming from an injury to its right scapular.
Mr S Collyer, kennel representative of St Paul declared a new weight of 28.1 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). St Paul last raced at 29.2 kg.
Mr R Taylor, trainer of Tarkedia Spring declared a new weight of 31.8 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tarkedia Spring last raced at 30.2 kg.
Cruisy's Rose was quick to begin. Yolk's Boy and Bluey Morgan were slow to begin.
Bronte's Flyer and Bluey Morgan collided approaching the first turn checking Bronte's Flyer. Zanzeedoo clipped the heels of Graphite Country on the first turn resulting in Graphite Country faltering and losing ground. Graphite Country and Zanzeedoo collided in the home straight checking Zanzeedoo.
Graphite Country was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain and right pencil injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
