A pre-race sample was taken from Gunai Gossip.
This event started at the rescheduled time of 5:09 pm.
Lektra Rival and Gunai Gossip collided soon after the start. Jakesta and Keno Bale collided soon after the start, checking Keno Bale which tailed off. Rusty Towbar and Zambora Pride collided approaching the first turn. Jakesta and Gunai Gossip collided approaching the first turn. Jakesta checked off Rusty Towbar approaching the first turn. Gunai Gossip, Jakesta, Rusty Towbar and Zambora Pride collided on the first turn, checking Zambora Pride, Rusty Towbar and Jakesta. Zambora Pride clipped the heels of Jakesta approaching the home turn. Rusty Towbar and Lizzy Allen collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Keno Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg toe collateral ligament rupture and abrasions to the right stifle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
