Ruby Rads, Quink, Fawn Pursuit, Rapid Mission and Myrniong Cosmo collided approaching the first turn, checking Ruby Rads, Fawn Pursuit, Rapid Mission and Myrniong Cosmo. Myrniong Cosmo checked off Rapid Mission on the first turn. Quink and Riccarton collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Quink, Rapid Mission and Myrniong Cosmo raced wide approaching the winning post.
