Legal was a late scratching at 1.06pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Doyen King.
Iceni Menace and Hardaway Outlaw were quick to begin. Superior Swagger was slow to begin. Possibly and Seabrook Indi collided soon after the start. Doyen King crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Iceni Menace, Hardaway Outlaw and Pistol Nite. Seabrook Indi, Pistol Nite and Superior Swagger collided approaching the home turn, checking Seabrook Indi and Pistol Nite, causing Superior Swagger to fall. Iceni Menace and Hardaway Outlaw collided in the home straight.
Superior Swagger was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
