Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr J Galea, the trainer of Emio Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Emilio Bale last raced on 30 June. 2017. Mr Galea stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a right hock injury.

What Planet and Iceni Outlaw collided soon after the start. Emio Bale, Remain Seated, Clovalley Rang and Iceni Outlaw collided approaching the first turn, checking What Planet. Remain Seated and What Planet collided approaching the home turn. Remain Seated clipped the heels of What Planet entering the home straight. Remain Seated raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Clovalley Rang and Fair Ride, checking Clovalley Rang and Fair Ride.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Oleg trialled over the 425m from box eight, weight 33.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 24.53, the greyhound won by a margin of 9.75 lengths. Oleg was cleared to race in blinkers.

Mr Barry Hiscock, trainer of Oleg, declared a new weight of 33.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Oleg last raced at 35.6kg.
