Steward's Report
Bruiser Senor was a late scratching at 6.20pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). Representative Mr. L. Fulford attended the track shortly after kennels closed and explained to Stewards that he had mixed up the time he needed to be on course. Steward accepted his explanation on this occasion and did not impose the normal 28 day stand down on the greyhound, however issued trainer Mr. C. Fulford with the standard non arrival fine of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Weasley Grange.
Dr. Luvdisc, Knew It, Beaver Neveelk and Rip Van Winkle were slow to begin. Knew It was checked off Beaver Neveelk on the first turn. Legend Jack faltered on the first turn causing Knew It and Beaver Neveelk to collide and race wide, Legend Jack subsequently tailed off. Dr. Luvdisc raced wide in the home straight.
Legend Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanaised.
