Payton and Tail Inspector were slow to begin.  Sweet Sparkle and and Checker Plate collided approaching the first turn checking Sweet Sparkle.  Alexagal was checked off Payton on the first turn.  North Paw was checked off Parcero Hope approaching the home turn.  Parcero Hope and Payton collided approaching the winning post.

Radish and Aoife were slow to begin.  Spring Lass and Spirited Diamond collided approaching the first turn checking Spirited Diamond.  Tahlia's Diamond and Radish collided on the first  turn causing Tahlia's Diamond to gallop on Joanie's Johnny checking Joanie's Johnny, Aoife and Spring Lass and severely checking Tahlia's Diamond.

Aye Drainer was slow to begin.  Dr. Zeeva and Nicky Neo collided soon after the start.  Wot Price Boofa and Let Him Ride collided approaching the first turn checking Let Him Ride.  Wot Price Boofa and Violet Sky collided approaching the first turn checking Violet Sky.  Wot Price Boofa eased on the first turn checking Nicky Neo and severely checking Tru Blu Keats and Violet Sky.  Wot Price Boofa and Let Him Ride collided on the home turn checking Let Him Ride.

Wot Price Boofa was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Allen the trainer of the greyhound Wot Price Boofa regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Wot Price Boofa with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wot Price Boofa was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Paisley and Amber's Romance were quick to begin.  Ballistic Gem was slow to begin.  Urban Bourbon, Clyde's Classy and Simple Tips collided on the first turn checking Clyde's Classy, Simple Tips and Amber's Romance.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to a Ballarat Harness event.

Galaxy Star stumbled at box rise.  Rumbling Bajooks, Veetee Mist and Heard It Before collided soon after the start checking Veetee Mist and Heard It Before.  Two Dollar Pots, Rumbling Bajooks and Mallee Spring collided approaching the first turn.  Galaxy Star was checked off Heard It Before on the first turn.  Galaxy Star was checked off Mallee Spring approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Knocker the representative for Aston Harpo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Aston Harpo last raced on 13/06/17.  Mr. Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left hock injury.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Adala Son, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Diamond On Fire, Johnny Black and Aston Harpo were slow to begin.  Johnny Black, Aston Harpo, Creative Cruise and In Dee Genes collided approaching the first turn checking Diamond On Fire and In Dee Genes.  Downtown Babe and Diamond On Fire collided on the first turn checking Downtown Babe.  Downtown Babe and Aston Harpo collided on the first turn.  In Dee Genes galloped on Downtown Babe on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Orange Blossom and Diamond On Fire collided in the home straight.

Go Go Guru was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Dr. Yanma, Cosmic Act and Jay Jay Bee collided approaching the first turn.  Shanlyn Percy, Righto Mitch and Cosmic Act collided on the first turn checking Righto Mitch and Cosmic Act.  Dr. Yanma was checked off Fully Loaded approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Erenshaw the trainer for Flying Cash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Flying Cash last raced on 24/05/17.  Mr. Erenshaw stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right metatarsal injury.

Scorching Fella was quick to begin.  Tobacco Leaf and Merchant Prince were slow to begin.  Adala Boy, Flying Cash and Scorching Fella collided on the first turn checking Adala Boy, Flying Cash and Walk Woody Walk.  Soda Sky was checked off Invictus Lawless on the first turn checking Soda Sky, Tobacco Leaf and Merchant Prince.  Adala Boy and Walk Woody Walk collided on the first turn severely checking Adala Boy.

Sharp Spur and Mahjong World were quick to begin.  Hi Ho Orazio and Stilton Buddy were slow to begin.  Stilton Buddy raced wide on the first turn.

Bruiser Senor was a late scratching at 6.20pm due to non arrival (GAR 31).  Representative Mr. L. Fulford attended the track shortly after kennels closed and explained to Stewards that he had mixed up the time he needed to be on course.  Steward accepted his explanation on this occasion and did not impose the normal 28 day stand down on the greyhound, however issued trainer Mr. C. Fulford with the standard non arrival fine of $100.

Dr. Luvdisc, Knew It, Beaver Neveelk and Rip Van Winkle were slow to begin.  Knew It was checked off Beaver Neveelk on the first turn.  Legend Jack faltered on the first turn causing Knew It and Beaver Neveelk to collide and race wide, Legend Jack subsequently tailed off.  Dr. Luvdisc raced wide in the home straight.

Legend Jack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanaised.

Serious Bolt, Precipitation and Bossy Caleb were quick to begin.  Mustang Sammy crossed in on the first turn checking Serious Bolt and Precipitation.  Precipitation and Acquainted collided approaching the home turn checking Riviera Cruz, Precipitation and Acquainted causing Riviera Cruz and Acquainted to race wide.  Bossy Caleb was checked off Acquainted approaching the home turn.  Serious Bolt and Mustang Sammy collided in the home straight.  Serious Bolt and Mustang Sammy raced wide in the home straight.

Acquainted was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle and right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Hello Nimble was slow to begin.  Raging Inferno and Lovely collided soon after the start.  Gold Odessa was checked off Cosmic Sole approaching the first turn.  Audacious Mickan, Raging Inferno and San Pablo collided entering the home straight checking Raging Inferno.
