Steward's Report
Ray's Wish was quick to begin. Winter's Glow and Little Nova collided soon after the start. Shi The One and Winter's Glow collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Sweet Angel and Little Nova collided on the first turn. Little Nova and Dazzling Melody collided on the first turn. Ray's Wish eased on the first turn. Hagrid Grange and Greysynd Ebony collided on the home turn. Sweet Angel and Little Nova collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Baker, the trainer of the greyhound Ray's Wish regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Ray's Wish was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle and displayed mild thumps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ray's Wish with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Baker pleaded guilty to the charge,ray's Wish was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
