Bert's Special was quick to begin. Team Son and Tooralee collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Bert's Special and Oriental Lord collided approaching the first turn severely checking Oriental Lord. Team Son and Bert's Special collided on the first turn checking Bert's Special. Tooralee, Maximum Dos and Face To Face collided twice on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Test Pilot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
