Mick's Angel, Cha Ching Ching and Gold Vein were quick to begin.
Dundee Kestrel, Rosie Oh Rosie and Sir Jay Jay collided soon after the start. Sir Jay Jay and Dundee Tango collided on the first turn. Cha Ching Ching and Dundee Kestrel collided entering the front straight. Dundee Kestrel, Gold Vein and Cha Ching Ching collided entering the home straight checking Gold Vein, Cha Ching Ching, Mick's Angel and Dundee Kestrel. Sir Jay Jay raced wide in the home straight. Gold Vein and Cha Ching Ching collided in the home straight checking Gold Vein. Cha Ching Ching and Dundee Tango collided approaching the winning post.
