Steward's Report

Mr Neil Baker, trainer of Ray's Wish, declared a new weight of 30.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ray's Wish last raced at 28.9kg.

Floss Mikado was quick to begin. Don's Gas was slow to begin.

Riverdale Danger crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Naomi Allen, Don's Gas and Ray's Wish. Dyna Quarter, Don's Gas and Ray's Wish collided soon after the start. Floss Mikado checked off Ray's Wish approaching the first turn. Floss Mikado and Fidget Bale collided on the first turn. Ray's Wish shifted out and collided with Riverdale Danger on the first turn. Riverdale Danger and Ray's Wish collided on the home turn, checking Ray's Wish. Riverdale Danger and Don's Gas collided on the home turn. Fidget Bale and Floss Mikado collided several times on the home turn. Don's Gas and Riverdale Danger collided in the home turn.

Ray's Wish was vetted and revetted following event four. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A seven-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr Neil Baker, the trainer of Ray's Wish, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
