Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr D Allsop, the trainer of Pee Kay Seeds regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pee Kay Seeds last raced 22 May 2017 and is returning after being on season. 

Navajo Bear and Bonta Magic were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Prince Stealth and Agent Voilet collided approaching the first turn.  Golden Gun crossed in on the first turn checking Buckle Up York, Prince Stealth, Agent Voilet and Dam Sleek, Pee Kay Seeds galloped on Golden Gun as a result checking Golden Gun and severely checking Pee Kay Seeds.  Buckle Up York galloped on Golden Gun on the first turn checking Golden Gun.  Prince Stealth and Golden Gun collided approaching the home turn.  Bonta Magic and Prince Stealth collided approaching the home turn.   Buckle Up York and Golden Gun collided on the home turn.

Golden Gun was vetted following the event on the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Prince Stealth, Mr P. Diaco and the trainer Mr R. Boyce regarding the greyhounds boxing manners.  Mr Diaco stated that it was his first time handling this greyhound. Mr R. Boyce also stated that the greyhound has not shown signs of difficulty at previous starts. Stewards noted explanations and issued a warning to Mr Boyce regarding the greyhounds boxing manners.
