Stewards spoke to Mr D Allsop, the trainer of Pee Kay Seeds regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pee Kay Seeds last raced 22 May 2017 and is returning after being on season. 

Navajo Bear and Bonta Magic were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Prince Stealth and Agent Voilet collided approaching the first turn.  Golden Gun crossed in on the first turn checking Buckle Up York, Prince Stealth, Agent Voilet and Dam Sleek, Pee Kay Seeds galloped on Golden Gun as a result checking Golden Gun and severely checking Pee Kay Seeds.  Buckle Up York galloped on Golden Gun on the first turn checking Golden Gun.  Prince Stealth and Golden Gun collided approaching the home turn.  Bonta Magic and Prince Stealth collided approaching the home turn.   Buckle Up York and Golden Gun collided on the home turn.

Golden Gun was vetted following the event on the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Prince Stealth, Mr P. Diaco and the trainer Mr R. Boyce regarding the greyhounds boxing manners.  Mr Diaco stated that it was his first time handling this greyhound. Mr R. Boyce also stated that the greyhound has not shown signs of difficulty at previous starts. Stewards noted explanations and issued a warning to Mr Boyce regarding the greyhounds boxing manners.

A pre-race sample was taken from Doused In Mud.

Nosey and Ishmy Gloria were slow to begin.

Beljay Galaxy crossed out soon after the start checking Shadow Diamond and Nosey.  Nosey checked off Ishmy Gloria on the first turn.  Vane Power and Beljay Galaxy collided on the first turn.  Beljay Galaxy raced wide entering the back straight.  Shadow Diamond galloped on Dark Portal approaching the home turn checking Dark Portal.  Beljay Galaxy, Nosey and Allen Zero collided on the home turn.

Shadow Diamond was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Nosey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind metatarsal, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Shanlyn Pippin and She's Dee Rocket were quick to begin.  Nitroniun was slow to begin.

Le Sands and Nitroniun collided approaching the first turn checking Le Sands.  Nitroniun and She's Got Dash collided on the first turn causing She's Got Dash to collided with She's Dee Rocket checking Roll 'Em Maggie and She's Got Dash and causing Roshani's Dream to race wide.

Fully Loaded and White Line Lass were quick to begin.  Rockalot was slow to begin.

White Line Lass and Lost Blue collided soon after the start checking Lost Blue.  Rockalot, White Line Lass and Kouta Excuses collided approaching the first turn checking Rockalot and White Line Lass.  New Lass and Our Aqua Blue collided on the first turn checking New Lass.

Dundee Kestrel, Sir Jay Jay and Too Fly Man collided soon after the start.  Sir Jay Jay and Mick's Angel collided on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Sir Jay Jay checked off Rosie Oh Rosie on the third turn.  Rosie Oh Rosie and Mick's Angel collided on the home turn.  Rosie Oh Rosie and Paddles Anderson collided in the home straight.  Dundee Kestrel and Mick's Angel collided approaching the winning post.

Due to a malfunction in the judges tower vision of Sky Channel became temporarily unavailable, delaying the event by approximately 4 minutes.

Harambe's Might was slow to begin.

Cain Hoy, Canino and Permafrost collided approaching the first turn checking Cain Hoy.  Cain Hoy and Division Four collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, causing Division Four and Harambe's Might to race wide.  Cain Hoy checked off Harambe's Might on the second turn.

Cain Hoy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right flexor tendon injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Kylie's Boy.

The start of this event was not recorded by Top Cat; stewards gave the all clear based on their observation of the event.

Zulu Zoe checked off Sacred Diamond approaching the first turn.  Kylie's Boy faltered on the first turn and fell.  Claretown Boris and Bageera collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Kylie's Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock fracture, and was humanely euthanised.

Tobacco Leaf was slow to begin.

Paradiso lass checked off Zara's Entity soon after the start.  Petadale, Shadale and Noaki Colour collided soon after the start.  Petadale galloped on Wadelock Sampson approaching the first turn severely checking Wadelock Sampson which fell and checked Tobacco Leaf as result. Paradiso Lass, Petadale and Shadale collided approaching the first turn.  Petadale checked off Paradiso Lass on the second turn.  Paradiso Lass checked off Noaki Colour in the home straight.

Wadelock Sampson was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Samples were taken from placegetters - Zara's Entity (1st), Perceptive (2nd) and Noaki Colour (3rd).

Stewards issued a reminder of responsibilities to Mr B. Greenough for failing to engage a catcher for his greyhound Zara's Entity in this event.

Xavier's Mate was a late scratching at 4:15pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Phil's In Luck and Brandeen Bayley collided soon after the start checking Phil's In Luck.  Bob's Gift, Thunder Of Night and Evie Girl collided soon after the start.  Mystic Powers, Dynamo Magic and Evie Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Dynamo Magic and Bob's Gift.  Dynamo Magic and Phil's In Luck collided entering the home straight checking Phil's In Luck.

As advised on Fasttrack Track Manager, Mr T Godfrey notified stewards that the track had a medium harrow on Tuesday 22 August, 2017.

Rockoon was re-vetted at the conclusion of kennelling, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found and was cleared fit to race.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Ellisa's Oath trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3, weight 27.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths. Ellisa's Oath was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Khawaja trialled over the 311mts from box 2, weight 29.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.25 lengths. Khawaja was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - My Lady Limonite trialled over the 311mts from box 7, weight 27.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75 lengths. My Lady Limonite was Cleared. My Lady Limonite was also cleared to race in Blinkers.

Bickerton, the representative of Pacific Reef regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pacific Reef last raced on 19th May 2016. Mr Bickerton stated that the greyhound was returning from a lengthy spell Pursuant to GAR 77A, Pacific Reef trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 32.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3 lengths. Pacific Reef was Cleared.

Bickerton, the representative of Pacific Dreamer regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Pacific Dreamer last raced on 24th November 2016. Mr Bickerton stated that the greyhound was returning from a lengthy spell Pursuant to GAR 77A, Pacific Dreamer trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 32.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 lengths. Pacific Dreamer was Cleared.

Graham, the trainer of Woodleigh Belle regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Woodleigh Belle last raced on 12th December 2016. Mr Graham stated that that the greyhound was returning from a right hock injury Pursuant to GAR 77A, Woodleigh Belle trialled over the 311mtrs from box 6, weight 26.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 6th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 18.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.50 lengths. Woodleigh Belle was Cleared.
