A pre-race sample was taken from Proven Legacy.
All Inn Johnson and Proven Legacy were slow to begin.
Severus Grange checked off Another What approaching the first turn checking Zipping Sonic. Lord Flash Heart and Another What collided on the first turn. Proven Legacy checked off Another What approaching the home turn checking All In Johnson and Proven Legacy. Zipping Sonic checked off Lord Flash Heart approaching the home turn. Magic Shianne and Blue Odessa collided in the home straight. Magic Shianne eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Chilcott, the trainer of the greyhound Magic Shianne regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Magic Shianne was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder, left and right monkey muscles, right stopper, left and right groins, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Magic Shianne with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Shianne was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
