Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Cusack, the handler of Low Flying Plane, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Low Flying Plane last raced on 30 March 2017. Mr Cusack stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of trainer and spell.
Ribacola was vetted prior to the event. It was reported that the greyhound had bled from the tail following kennelling, a bandage was applied. No stand down period was imposed and the dog was cleared as fit to race by the Club Veterinarian.
Zelemar Leap and Ribacola collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Zelemar Leap. Glamorous Cheech and All Inn Piper collided approaching the first turn, checking All Inn Piper. Low Flying Plane checked off the heels of Ribacola on the first turn, checking Low Flying Plane. All Inn Piper and Zelemar Leap collided on the first turn. Glamorous Cheech and Hanga collided on the first turn.
