Beckio Fozzio and Annie Bell collided soon after the start. Badelaide Road galloped on the heels of Beckio Fozzio approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Beckio Fozzio was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and both deltoid muscles. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Paul Cusack, the handler of Low Flying Plane, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Low Flying Plane last raced on 30 March 2017. Mr Cusack stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of trainer and spell.

Ribacola was vetted prior to the event. It was reported that the greyhound had bled from the tail following kennelling, a bandage was applied. No stand down period was imposed and the dog was cleared as fit to race by the Club Veterinarian.

Zelemar Leap and Ribacola collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Zelemar Leap. Glamorous Cheech and All Inn Piper collided approaching the first turn, checking All Inn Piper. Low Flying Plane checked off the heels of Ribacola on the first turn, checking Low Flying Plane. MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Paull, the trainer of Emcee, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Emcee last raced on 27 October 2016. Mr Paull stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a broken left hock. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Emcee trialled over the 425m from box one, weight 30.3kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.28, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 2.5L. Emcee was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Heat Up trialled over the 425m from box three, weight 26.4kg,the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.28,the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25L. Heat Up was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dee Blue Flame trialled over the 425m from box five, weight 25kg,the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.28,the greyhound beaten by a margin of 13.75L. Dee Blue Flame was not cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Magic Shianne trialled over the 425m from box seven, weight 25.9kg,the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 24.28,the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5L. Magic Shianne was cleared.
