Steward's Report
Mr Alex Whitehead, trainer of Sudoku Buddah declared a new weight of 31.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sudoku Buddah last raced at 33.1kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Moggy.
Pupetta Maresca was quick to begin. Sudoku Buddah and My Cousin Jim collided soon after the start. Scarecrow Max and Boo Start collided soon after the start causing Boo Star to tail off. My Cousin Jim and Scarecrow Max collided on the first turn checking Scarecrow Max. Sudoku Buddah and Scarecrow Max collided several times approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight. In The Net and My Cousin Jim collided in the home straight.
Sudoku Buddah was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Boo Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right groin. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
A sample was taken from Pupetta Maresca, winner of the event.
Stewards issued a warning to Ms. K. Bentley the trainer of Boo Star regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.
