Steward's Report
Greysynd Burn and Zipping Jacy were slow to begin. Crackerjack Daza, Pench and Zipping Oliver collided soon after the start. Hometown Lads and Spring Baker collided approaching the first turn. Pench and Zipping Jacy collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Jacy, and severely checking Pench which raced wide and collided with the outside rail. Podium Project checked off Zipping Jacy on the first turn. Hometown Lads and Spring Baker collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Zipping Oliver raced wide on the home turn. Pench raced wide on the home turn. Zipping Jacy galloped on the heels of Greysynd Burn entering the home straight.
Crackerjack Daza was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left medial elbow, left medial radius/ulna and near the right eye, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Pench was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg triangle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
