Crackerjack Daza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left medial elbow, left medial radius/ulna and near the right eye, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Pench was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg triangle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Media Street was slow to begin.  Saint Flynn, Noosa Parade and Rowchester Star collided soon after the start, checking Noosa Parade, Rowchester Star and Hammer Head.  Swift Trent checked off the heels of Lady Beatrix on the first turn.  Media Street and Rowchester Star collided on the first turn.  Media Street checked off the heels of Paranoia on the home turn and collided with Rowchester Star and Hammer Head, resulting in Media Street, Rowchester Star and Hammer Head being checked.  Noosa Parade checked off Paranoia in the home straight.  Noosa Parade checked off Swift Trent approaching the winning post.

Tiger Bite Turbo, Benlura and Cloona Express were quick to begin.  Pop Do It was slow to begin.  Murrabit Betty and Redda collided soon after the start, checking Murrabit Betty.  Secret Choice and Redda collided approaching the first turn.  Tiger Bite Turbo and Benlura collided approaching the first turn.  Secret Choice, Pop Do It, Murrabit Betty and Tear Away Duke collided on the first turn, checking Secret Choice, Pop Do It and Tear Away Duke.  Tiger Bite Turbo and Redda collided approaching the home turn.  Tiger Bite Turbo failed to pursue the lure with due committment on the home turn and collided with Benlura.

Tiger Bite Turbo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Stanley, the trainer of the greyhound Tiger Bite Turbo, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Tiger Bite Turbo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms Stanley pleaded guilty to the charge, Tiger Bite Turbo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Cloona Express - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Susan Lenehan, representative of Lektra Aly, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lektra Aly last raced on 15 January 2017.  Mrs Lenehan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel after which time it became seasonal.

Lektra Aly, Heat Up and Quen Bale were quick to begin.  Zambora Krystal and Tilly Rocks collided soon after the start.  Lektra Aly and Heat Up collided approaching the first turn.  Tilly Rocks, Zambora Krystal and Quen Bale collided on the first turn, checking Zambora Krystal, Quen Bale, Starface and My Lil' Angel.  Starface and My Lil' Angel collided approaching the home turn.  Lektra Aly and Tilly Rocks collided on the home turn, checking Tilly Rocks.  Quen Bale and Zambora Pride collided approaching the winning post.

Mr Paul Herry, trainer of To The Choppar, declared a new weight of 28.1 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  To The Choppar last raced at 26.5 kgs.

Stewards spoke to Ms Debbie Goudge regarding the direction that the greyhound Kirabilli Arjay be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
