Apila Cabbage, How's It Thunder and Weeona Paddy were slow to begin.
Upta Ya Mate, Buckle Up York and Weeona Paddy collided soon after the start. Apila Cabbage and Magic Muzza collided soon after the start. How's It Thunder galloped on Weeona Paddy on the first turn, severely checking Buckle Up York and Weeona Paddy which both fell as a result. Apila Cabbage checked off Jagged Ice approaching the home turn. Upta Ya Mate and Jagged Ice collided approaching the home turn. Weeona Paddy clipped the heels of Upta Ya Mate approaching the home turn. Apila Cabbage, Jagged Ice and Magic Muzza collided entering the home straight.
