Stewards spoke to Ms Susan Northway, the trainer of the greyhound Flash Bobbie, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Flash Bobbie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Northway pleaded guilty to the charge, Flash Bobbie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

How's It Thunder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder muscle . A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Buckle Up York was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstring muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Psy Goanna was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left long head triceps (monkey) and right tensor fascia (traingle) muscles, and tore a left fore dew claw. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gastrocnemius (calf) muscle; a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Wicked Hillary with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Lithgow pleaded guilty to the charge, Wicked Hillary was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Right Off Spot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Max Williams, the representative of Letty Bee, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Letty Bee last raced on 20 April 2017 and is returning after a seasonal spell. Letty Bee also declared a new weight of 28.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Letty Bee last raced at 29.9kg.

Mr. Peter Borradale, trainer of Bernmar Terry, declared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bernmar Terry last raced at 33.5kg.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results - Sharp Diamond trialled over the 400m from box one, weight 32.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.85, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Sharp Diamond was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Adala Son trialled over the 400m from box five, weight 30.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.85, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2L. Adala Son was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Pia trialled over the 400m from box eight, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.85, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75L. Pia was cleared.
