Crackerjack Pest and Roll 'Em Missy were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Roll 'Em Missy.  Brazen Bull and Pretty Boy Grigg collided approaching the first turn, checking Brazen Bull. She's Vivacious checked off Brazen Bull approaching the home turn.  Zelemar Zest and Brazen Bull collided approaching the winning post.

Roll 'Em Missy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Trainer, Mr T Noy, advised that Roll Em' Missy will now be retired from racing and will transition into the GAP program.

King's Fury was slow to begin.  Dorset Dasha crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Ronray Destiny.  King's Fury checked off Brienne approaching the home turn.  King's Fury and Acola Sweetie collided entering the home straight.

Cruising Amber and Just Like Didda were quick to begin.  Oshkosh Wayne and Sugar Roselee collided soon after the start.  Just Add Colour and Macalister Ike collided approaching the first turn, checking Just Add Colour.  Sugar Roselee checked off Cruising Amber on the first turn.  Cruising Amber checked off Umar Allen approaching the home turn.  Cruising Amber and Oshkosh Wayne collided approaching the home turn, checking Cruising Amber. Cruising Amber faded in the home straight.

Cruising Amber was vetted and revetted following race seven; it was reported that the greyhound sustained only minor abrasions to a toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Cauchi, the trainer of the greyhound Cruising Amber.  Stewards deemed the performance of Cruising Amber unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Cruising Amber must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Steward’s issued a warning to Mr Edward Burrett, the handler of Lektra Hutch, regarding the greyhound’s boxing manners.

Blackhawk Parker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Lunchmoney Lewis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained thoraco-lumbar and right hindleg quadriceps injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Commments:

At the completion of kennelling this evening, Lila Bale undertook a veterinary examination pursuant to GAR 73 (3), after incurring an 7-day stand-down penalty for an injury from The Meadows on 26 July 2017. The On-Course Veterinary Surgeon advised Stewards that Lila Bale was fit to race, at the time of the examination and as such, the stand-down penalty was lifted, effective immediatley.
