A pre-race sample was taken from Porscha's Girl upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre-race sample was taken from Daisy Patch.

Porscha's Girl was quick to begin.  Power Ruckman was slow to begin.  Baggy's Request was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Shrek's Tornado clipped the heels of Daisy Patch on the first turn causing Shrek's Tornado to fall and severely checking Power Ruckman as a result.  Porscha's Girl eased approaching the home turn.  Shrek's Fairy veered out and marred Porscha's Girl approaching the home turn checking Porscha's Girl which collided with Daisy Patch.  Crystal Shell and Tarika Tara collided in the home straight.

Shrek's Tornado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Lesjak, the representative of the greyhound Shrek's Fairy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Shrek's Fairy with marring.  Mr Lesjak pleaded guilty to the charge, Shrek's Fairy was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Cortese, the trainer of the greyhound Porscha's Girl regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Porscha's Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right shin soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Porscha's Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Cortese pleaded not guilty to the charge, Porscha's Girl was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Allen, the trainer of Spring Shangeye regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Spring Shangeye last raced on 29/3/2017. Mr Allan stated that the greyhound was returning from seasonal.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pacific Power.

Pacific Power, Off Ya Rocket and Spring Shangeye were slow to begin.

Lady Ceecee, Off Ya Rocket, Ice Cold Yug and Spring Shangeye collided on the first turn checking Lady Ceecee.  Lady Ceecee checked off Off Ya Rocket on the second turn.  Pacific Power raced wide in the back straight.  Off Ya Rocket checked off Lady Ceecee on the third turn.  

A sample was taken from Maggie's Alone - winner of the event.

Dundee Tango and Angelic Hand collided soon after the start checking Dundee Tango.  Boycey Road, Spyfection and Scarlet Twice collided on the first turn checking Boycey Road and Scarlet Twice.  Boycey Road checked off Angelic Hand in the back straight.  Shall She Cindy eased entering the home straight and collided with Delta Bad Hand.  Delta Bad Hand, Shall She Cindy and Newfire Chelle collided in the home straight checking all three greyhounds.  

Dundee Tango was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr G. Scott-smith the trainer of Dundee Tango regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Shall She Cindy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found, Mr Crawford declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Crawford, the trainer of the greyhound Shall She Cindy regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Shall She Cindy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge, Shall She Cindy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Empire Entourage, Thumb A Ride and Rodeo were slow to begin.

Always About Me and Empire Entourage collided on the first turn.  Always About Me checked off Empire Entourage approaching the second turn checking Thumb A Ride.  Thumb A Ride and Utopia collided entering the back straight.  Hyundai Hawk eased on the third turn.  Hyundai Hawk, Thumb A Ride and Utopia collided on the third turn.  

Hyundai Hawk was vetted and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Thomas, the trainer of the greyhound Hyundai Hawk regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Hyundai Hawk with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Thomas pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hyundai Hawk was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Empire Entourage - winner of the event.

Mr R. Clark, trainer of Become The Fuse declared a new weight of 31.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Become The Fuse last raced at 30.5kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Go Go Guru.

Go Go Guru, Very Choosy and Banjo King were slow to begin.

Celtic Fire and Go Go Guru collided on the first turn.  Celtic Fire checked off Go Go Guru approaching the second turn.  Become The Fuse and Division Four collided on the third turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nitroniun upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Stewards reminded Mr W. Harmor of his responsibilities after he failed to have the lure in the correct starting position before the greyhounds paraded from the kennels.

She's Dee Rocket was quick to begin.  Nitroniun and Bank Rogue were slow to begin.  Freedom Fire and Nitroniun collided approaching the first turn checking Freedom Fire.  Pristina Lad and Jemase collided on the home turn.  

Inter Sam and Paddles Anderson were slow to begin.

Tiny Dreamer and Ashtastic collided soon after the start.  Spazzy Blue, Inter Sam and Tiny Dreamer collided approaching the home turn checking Tiny Dreamer.  Tiny Dreamer checked off Ashtastic on the first turn.  Spazzy Blue, Inter Sam and Paddles Anderson collided on the first turn.  Leading The Way and Paddles Anderson collided entering the home straight.  

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Dean regarding the improved performance of Paddles Anderson.  Mrs Dean stated that she believes the greyhound chases better on the hoop arm.  Stewards noted Mrs Dean's explanation and samples were taken from Paddles Anderson - winner of the event. 

Mr S. Campaan, the representative of Golden Gun declared a new weight of 26.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Golden Gun last raced at 27.8kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Petite Harbour.

Buckle Up Spitz and Merchant Prince were slow to begin.  Buckle Up Spitz checked off Merchant Prince soon after the start. Merchant Prince checked off Shrek's Capri approaching the first turn.  Buckle Up Spitz galloped on She's A Beaut approaching the first turn checking She's A Beaut.  Buckle Up Spitz brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Merchant Prince galloped on Knew It on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds, Merchant Prince fell as a result.  Petite Harbour galloped on Golden Gun checking both greyhounds.  Buckle Up Spitz and Knew It collided approaching the winning post.  

Merchant Prince was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left sesamoid and right triangle injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Le Sands were quick to begin.  Splash Of Blue was slow to begin.

Splash Of Blue, Why Not Cory and Lady Alliance collided soon after the start checking Splash Of Blue.  Fear Fire and Dee Big Rig collided approaching the first turn.  Why Not Cory and Lady Alliance collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dreaming Dora.

Dreaming Dora and Pistol collided soon after the start.  Tekki Lightning and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the first turn checking Tekki Lightning.  Dreaming Dora and Emilia Cash collided on the home turn.  Pistol raced wide on the home turn.  Tekki Lightning raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lil Bit Awesome.

Celtic Charm and Coolan Man collided soon after the start.  Lil Bit Awesome and Coolan Man collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Celtic Charm crossed out approaching the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr C. Morris, the trainer of Oh Lele Simon regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Oh Lele Simon last raced on 3/3/2017. Mr C. Morris stated that the greyhound was returning from a right shoulder injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Oh Lele Simon trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 33.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.54, the greyhound was beaten by 3.5 lengths. Oh Lele Simon was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Noaki Lynx trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3,weight 26.1kgs,the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 18.54,the greyhound won by 1/2 head. Noaki Lynx was Cleared.
