Tiny Dreamer and Ashtastic collided soon after the start. Spazzy Blue, Inter Sam and Tiny Dreamer collided approaching the home turn checking Tiny Dreamer. Tiny Dreamer checked off Ashtastic on the first turn. Spazzy Blue, Inter Sam and Paddles Anderson collided on the first turn. Leading The Way and Paddles Anderson collided entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Dean regarding the improved performance of Paddles Anderson. Mrs Dean stated that she believes the greyhound chases better on the hoop arm. Stewards noted Mrs Dean's explanation and samples were taken from Paddles Anderson - winner of the event.
