Steward's Report
Mr L.Medcraft, trainer of Awesome Kate declared a new weight of 26.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Awesome Kate last raced at 25.1kg.
Xtreme Move, Myrrdon, Zoobie and Diamond Ruby were slow to begin. Zoobie and Diamond Ruby collided soon after the start, checking Zoobie. Wind Witch checked off Pancake approaching the first turn. Myrrdon and Zoobie collided approaching the first turn. Awesome Kate checked off Wind Witch on the first turn and collided with Myrrdon, resulting in both Awesome Kate and Myrrdon being severely checked. and causing both greyhounds .to stumble and lose considerable ground. Zoobie which was following was forced to race wide as a result. Wind Witch and Xtreme Move collided entering the home straight.
Awesome Kate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Myrrdon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the legs. No stand down period was impoesd.
