Mr L.Medcraft, trainer of Awesome Kate declared a new weight of 26.5kg  for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Awesome Kate last raced at 25.1kg.

Xtreme Move, Myrrdon, Zoobie and Diamond Ruby were slow to begin. Zoobie and Diamond Ruby collided soon after the start, checking Zoobie. Wind Witch checked off Pancake approaching the first turn. Myrrdon and Zoobie collided approaching the first turn. Awesome Kate checked off Wind Witch on the first turn and collided with Myrrdon, resulting in both Awesome Kate  and Myrrdon being severely checked. and causing both greyhounds .to stumble and lose considerable ground. Zoobie which was following was forced to race wide as a result. Wind Witch and Xtreme Move collided entering the home straight.

Awesome Kate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Myrrdon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the legs. No stand down period was impoesd. 

A sample was taken from Pancake - the winner of the event. 

Smurftastic and Nice Work were slow to begin. Smurftastic and Strength To Wyn collided soon after the start. Smurftastic and Nice Work collied several times approaching the first turn, checking Nice Work, and severely checking Smurftastic, which stumbled and lost considerable ground. Smurftastic tired over the concluding stages of the event. 

Smurftastic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Alpe D'blanc was quick to begin. Candy Rose was slow to begin. Cloe's Intention, Jobes Return, Galloping Tina and Scarlet Tru Blu collided soon after the start, checking Cloe's Intention, Galloping Tina and Scarlet Tru Blu. Lady Ceecee and Witch In Motion collided approaching the first turn, checking Witch In Motion and Alpe D'blanc. Galloping Tina and Scarlet Tru Blu collided approaching the first turn, checking Galloping Tina. Cloe's Intention and Alpe D'blanc collided entering the front straight, checking Alpe D'blanc. Witch In Motion, Cloe's Intention and Jobes Return collided approaching the second turn, checking Cloe's Intention. Cloe's Intention checked off Jobes Return approaching the second turn. Candy Rose and Witch In Motion collided on the second turn, resulting in Witch In Motion becoming unbalanced and colliding with Scarlet Tru Blu, checking both greyhounds and causing Cloe's Intention and Alpe D'blanc to race wide. Cloe's Intention and Alpe D'blanc collided approaching the third turn, checking Alpe D'blanc. Scarlet Tru Blu crossed to the rail entering the back straight, checking Galloping Tina, Jobes Return and Witch In Motion. Galloping Tina checked off Jobes Return in the back straight. Witch In Motion and Galloping Tina collided on the fourth turn, checking Witch In Motion.

Spyfection was quick to begin. Burch Day was slow to begin. Boycey Road, Burch Day and Oni Bale collided soon after the start, checking Burch Day. Winlock Hadley and Boycey Road collided approaching the first turn, checking Boycey Road. Orataya checked off Spyfection approaching the first turn, checking Miss Thursday, Annie Lava and Boycey Road, all three greyhounds raced wide as a result. Burch Day and Oni Bale collided on the first turn, checking Oni Bale. Boycey Road checked off Miss Thursday in the front straight. Orataya and Burch Day collided approaching the second turn. Burch Day and Miss Thursday collided on the second turn, checking Burch Day, Orataya, Boycey Road and Annie Lava. Annie Lava raced wide in the back straight. Orataya and Burch Day collided approaching the fourth turn, checking Orataya. Orataya and Boycey Road collided on the home turn. Oni Bale and Miss Thursday collided in the home straight. 

Barroom Counsel and Got One Back were slow to begin. Shine and Ving Bale collided soon after the start, checking Shine. Precious Quality and Jake collided soon after the start. Jake and Shine collided approaching the first turn, checking Jake and Precious Quality. Rock Up Top, Lance Lomar and Ving Bale collided approaching the first turn. Jake and Precious Quality collided on the first turn. Precious Quality checked off Jake on the first turn. Shine checked off Got One Back on the fourth turn. Jake and Shine collided approaching the home turn, checking Shine. Got One Back checked off Lance Lomar on the home turn. Lance Lomar tired over the concluding stages of the event. Precious Quality raced wide throughout the event.

Cheekers, Zambora Idol and Carry On Pendles were slow to begin. Carry On Pendles faltered soon after the start,  trailed the field throughtout and tailed off.  Macrory and Bombora Comet collided approaching the first turn. Cheekers, Zambora Idol and Macrory collided on the first turn. Cheekers, Zambora Idol, Macrory and Bombora Comet collided on the second turn, checking Cheekers, Macrory and Bombora Comet, all three greyhounds raed wide as a result. Macrory and Cheekers collided entering the back straight. 

Carry On Pendles was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Little Black Joe.

Little Black Joe and New Level were quick to begin. Division Four and Dr. Watson were slow to begin. New Level and Flawless Bling collided soon after the start, and again approaching the first turn. Bageera, Division Four and Gold Bombardier collided soon after the start, checking Division Four. Bageera and Division Four collided approaching the third turn, checking Bageera. Gold Bombardier checked off Dr. Watson approaching the third turn. New Level and Flawless Bling collided on the home turn. 

Villa Jemma was a late scratching at 8.30am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr L.Medcraft was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound Big Bold Boomer pursuant to GAR 33.

Form A Circle was quick to begin. Big Bold Boomer and Meehan Barney collided soon after the start. Destini Rocket and Trademark Bliss collided approaching the first turn. Trademark Bliss checked off Destini Rocket approaching the second turn. Dyna Elvio checked off Big Bold Boomer entering the back straight. Ima Ebay and Makikos collided in the back straight, checking Makikos. Meehan Barney checked off Big Bold Boomer on the third turn. Meehan Barney and Trademark Bliss collided approaching the home turn. Ima Ebay and Makikos collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn. Dyna Elvio, Ima Ebay and Trademark Bliss collided approaching the winning post.

Shy Freddie was quick to begin. Dr. Eleonora was slow to begin. Swift Bunny went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Wise Harry and Dewana Interest collided soon after the start, checking Wise Harry. Mallee Spring and Wise Harry collided approaching the first turn. Shy Freddie, Shocking Onyx and Dewana Interest collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Rival, Wise Harry and Mallee Spring collided on the first turn, checking Mallee Spring and Wise Harry. Swift Bunny contacted the running rail approaching the second turn and lost ground as a result. Mallee Spring checked off Swift Bunny in the back straight.
