Sambucca Rose was quick to begin.  Shamus Mac was slow to begin.  Sambucca Rose eased approaching the first turn.  Sambucca Rose crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Falling In Love.  Aye Chit Chat checked off Run Rita Run approaching the home turn.  Sambucca Rose and Stilton Henry collided on the home turn checking Shamus Mac which raced wide as a result.  Sambucca Rose and Falling In Love collided several times in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spoljaric , the trainer of the greyhound Sambucca Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.   Sambucca Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sambucca Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Spoljaric pleaded guilty to the charge, Sambucca Rose was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Lakeview Maisey.

Gambler's Loot and Vladimir Rose were slow to begin.  Zipping Foy and Salty Pat collided several times approaching the first turn.  Vladimir Rose clipped the heels of Gambler's Loot on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Salty Pat crossed in on the first turn checking Zipping Foy.

Jetyra Eruption, Fess Crockett, Heard A Rumour and Rickett's Point were slow to begin.  Lakeview Bruta and Zipping Jacy collided approaching the first turn checking Lakeview Bruta.  Zipping Carly, Lakeview Bruta and Jetyra Eruption collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Rickett's Point checked off Al's San Bow on the first turn.  Al's San Bow and Rickett's Point collided entering the home straight.

Rickett's Point was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind quadriceps muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Healey the handler of Rickett's Point regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  After viewing footage of the event and taking into consideration the greyhound's injury, Stewards took no further action.

This race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to an on course promotion.

Ruby Red Eden, Allen Zero and Detroit Wally were slow to begin.  Sprint Tee, Ashmy Brother and Another Shiner collided on the second turn checking Sprint Tee, Ishmy Brother, Jebreco Surprise and Detroit Wally.  Detroit Wally checked off Jebreco Surprise on the second turn.  Sprint Tee checked off Jebreco Surprise entering the home straight checking Ruby Red Eden.  Ishmy Brother and Another Shiner collided entering the home straight.  Ishmy Brother eased in the home straight and collided with Another Shiner approaching the winning post.  Ishmy Brother, Another Shiner, Cosmo Lass and Jebreco Surprise collided at the winning post.

Ishmy Brother was vetted and after being re vetted following event 9, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Healey the handler of the greyhound Ishmy Brother regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Ishmy Brother with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Healey pleaded not guilty to the charge, Ishmy Brother was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Tiger Rising.

Tiger Rising and Our Mojo were slow to begin.  Midnight Minx and Our Mojo collided on the first turn.  Danger Bale and Tiger Rising collided on the first turn.  Resplando clipped the heels of Danger Bale on the first turn.  Danger Bale and Tiger Rising collided on the first turn checking Danger Bale and Midnight Minx.  Tiger Rising checked off Dava Supreme entering the home straight.

Cracking Joe and Cookie Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Cookie Rose.  Phillip Keeping and Cracking Joe collided on the first turn checking Move That Energy, severely checking Phillip Keeping and Sam Whelan; Sam Whelan stumbled as a result.  Cookie Rose was held up for a run.  Sam Whelan and Cookie Rose collided approaching the home turn.  Cracking Joe raced wide on the home turn.

Doc's Reward, Opalia Bale and Bulldog Warrior were slow to begin.  You Bug Me, Opalia Bale, Zipping Paris and Bulldog Warrior collided on the first turn.  Ishmy Girl and You Bug Me collided in the back straight checking Ishmy Girl.  Ishmy Girl, Doc's Reward and Opalia Bale collided on the second turn.  Ishmy Girl and Zipping Paris collided approaching the home turn checking Ishmy Girl.  Ishmy Girl and Doc's Reward collided entring the home straight and again in the home straight checking Ishmy Girl.

Allen Optic was slow to begin.  Crickets Dash checked off Tuggeragh on the first turn severely checking Tankster and Allen Optic.  Tuggeragh and Hundred collided entering the home straight.

He's Clever and Princess Shae were slow to begin.  He's Clever, Marvellous Midge and Princess Shae collided soon after the start.  Marvellous Midge checked off Princess Shae on the first turn.  Trey Bit checked off Oamaru Wonder on the first turn.  Marvellous Midge checked off Princess Shae approaching the home turn.

Destini Mermaid and Destini Mantello were slow to begin.  Destini Mermaid checked off Labuan Starfish approaching the first turn.  Boss Senor and Cruella Deville collided on the first turn checking Labuan Starfish, Boss Senor and Destini Mermaid.  Labuan Starfish galloped on Destini Mantello entering the home straight.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward, Mrs. S. Tyler did not act in any official capacity for this event.

One More Tom was quick to begin.  She's A Collinda and Veetee Mist collided on the first turn checking Veetee Mist.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -  Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern the trainer of Smoke Da Judge regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Smoke Da Judge last raced on 10th January, 2017.  Mr. McGovern stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Smoke Da Judge trialled over the 440m from box 3,  weight 30.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.35,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths.  Smoke Da Judge was Cleared.   

Satisfactory Trial Results - Invictus Helena trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 26.9kgs,  the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4  The time of the trial was 25.35, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths.  Invictus Helena was Cleared.
