She's Smoking and Long Live Sid were slow to begin.

Bye Bye Boy galloped on Middle Trucker on the first turn checking Bye Bye Boy and Long Live Sid causing Long Live Sid to fall, She's Smoking hesitated as a result. She's Smoking tailed off in the home straight.

Long Live Sid was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

She's Smoking was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Carr, the trainer of the greyhound She's Smoking.  Stewards deemed the performance of She's Smoking unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that She's Smoking must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Bonta Magic a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Anita's Girl, Showgirl Miss and Itz Grandeur collided approaching the first turn.  First Target galloped on Remembering Dad on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.

Remembering Dad was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a front right toe injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mahlo Blackhawk and Mr. Pendles collided soon after the start.  Red Lagoon and Mr. Pendles collided approaching the first turn checking Red Lagoon, Mr. Pendles and Elite Eliana.  Ellen's Stardust crossed in approaching the first turn checking Mahlo Blackhawk.  Ellen's Stardust and Mahlo Blackhawk collided on the first turn checking Mahlo Blackhawk.  Indira's Girl checked off Mahlo Blackhawk approaching the home turn.  Indira's Girl and Mr. Pendles collided approaching the winning post.

Destini Laredo checked off Red Hot Fox soon after the start.  Motown Mac checked off Angelic hand on the first turn and collided with Doused In Mud and Light The Track.  Doused In Mud checked off Destini Laredo in the back straight.  Angelic hand raced wide in the back straight.

Motown Mac was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Burns, the trainer of Mahaya regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mahaya last raced on 19/4/2017. Mr Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from a right calf injury.

Joe Mama was slow to begin.

Krav Maga and Excelencia collided on the first turn checking Excelencia which collided with Mahaya.  Joe Mama and Excelencia collided approaching the second turn.  Paddles Anderson and Mahaya raced wide in the back straight.  Paddles Anderson and Why Not Jojo collided entering the home straight.  Krav Maga and Mahaya raced wide in the home straight.

Mahaya was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a abrasion to the left hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

All runners in this event were sampled - Jemase upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling. A pre-race from Ultimate Conor and post-race from Shot To Glory, Go Levi, Botanic Lass and Shanlyn Pippin.

Magical Bling, Blue Reef and Galloping Fantom collided on the first turn.  Zipping Lady raced wide approaching the second turn and collided with Sharkies Arrow, checking Sharkies Arrow.  Galloping Fantom checked off Sharkies Arrow entering the home straight.

Buckle Up Todd and Cash Ownley collided soon after the start.  Antoine and Heroic Outlaw collided approaching the first turn.  Merl's Blaze and Dodger's Beauty collided approaching the first turn checking Merl's Blaze.  Galloping Benny and Dodger's Beauty collided approaching the home turn checking Dodger's Beauty.  Buckle Up Todd and Dodger's Beauty approaching the home turn.  Buckle Up Spitz and Buckle Up Todd collided on the home turn.

Mrs C. Fettham, trainer of Cosmic Act declared a new weight of 29.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cosmic Act last raced at 30.7kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr C. Colaiacovo, the representative of Scorching Lucy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Scorching Lucy last raced on 20/01/2017. Mr Colaiacovo stated that the greyhound was returning from a left front leg injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Scorching Lucy trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 27.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.66, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 10.25 lengths. Scorching Lucy was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Bruree Belle trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3, weight 25.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.66, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 3.75 lengths. Bruree Belle was Not Cleared. (Eased approaching the home turn).

Satisfactory Trial Results - Louie The Lip trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 28.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.66, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Louie The Lip was Not Cleared.
