Steward's Report
Liebig Street was slow to begin.
Mepunga Blazer (late Mepunga Blaze) and Lady Charlotte collided soon after the start. Lady Charlotte, Mepunga Blazer, Slinky Inky, Miss Dee Meadows, Chasin' Crackers and Vens Revenge collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Dee Meadows, Vens Revenge and Chasin' Crackers, which fell as a result. Liebig Street checked off Miss Dee Meadows on the second turn. Slinky Inky and Miss Dee Meadows collided on the home turn, checking Slinky Inky. Slinky Inky and Vens Revenge raced wide in the home straight.
Chasin' Crackers was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a tarsal sprain to the left hock and an injury to the right hamstring. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
