Patchie Thief was quick to begin. Call Me Ernie, Pillar Creek and Araolok Lil' Gal collided approaching the first turn, checking Pillar Creek and Arolok Lil' Gal. Ultra Bear stumbled on the first turn, and lost ground. Lockrod stumbled on the home turn. Call Me Ernie and Patchie Thief collided in the home straight.
