Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Geopark Ruby.
Daintree Lilli, Leeroy Rox and Miss Yaala were slow to begin. Leeroy Rox checked off the heels of Charlotte Allen approaching the first turn. Daintree Lilli checked off the heels of Geopark Ruby approaching the first turn, severely checking Daintree Lilli which lost ground as a result. Umar Allen and Oshkosh Wayne collided approaching the home turn. Daintree Lilli raced wide on the home turn. Oshkosh Wayne and Dynastic Ruler collided in the home straight. Umar Allen appeared to cramp in the home straight
Daintree Lilli was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Umar Allen was vetted and revetted following event seven. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. Acting on the Stewards and Veterinary Surgeons' observations the greyhound was suspected of cramping. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Korie-Lee Heinrich, the hander of the greyhound Umar Allen. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
