Steward's Report
Grey Grouse, Hurricane Craig and Excuse Me Baby were slow to begin. Excuse Me Baby eased approaching the first turn. Grey Grouse and Hell Blazin' collided approaching the first turn. Hurricane Craig and Excuse Me Baby collided on the first turn checking Excuse Me Baby. Poison Pen raced wide approaching the home turn. Hell Blazin' and Excuse Me Baby collided entering the home straight.
Excuse Me Baby was vetted and after being re vetted following event 12, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Repici, the trainer of the greyhound Excuse Me Baby regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Excuse Me Baby with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Repici pleaded guilty to the charge. Excuse Me Baby was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Poison Pen was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. L. Lacy, the trainer of Poison Pen regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Spence and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding obeying starters orders when boxing his greyhound. GAR 51(10)(a).
