Steward's Report
Mr. M. McGuire, trainer of Sootette declared a new weight of 24.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sootette last raced at 26.4kgs.
Hop On Black was a late scratching at 3:24pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a sprain to its left hind tarsal (hock). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Chubba Chops was quick to begin. Go Lakers Go, Sootette, Alira Kate and King Of Sunshine collided soon after the start checking Sootette and Alira Kate. Senni William galloped on the heels of Chubba Chops on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Go Lakers Go and Chubba Chops collided approaching the home turn checking Chubba Chops and Senni William. Chubba Chops, Pingu and Alira Kate collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Pingu and Chubba Chops. Pingu and Chubba Chops collided in the home straight checking Chubba Chops.

Satisfactory Trial Results
Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Carbone, the trainer of Speedy Carerro regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Speedy Carerro last raced on 19th August 2015. Mr. Carbone stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being new to his kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Speedy Carerro trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 33.0kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52. The greyhound won by a margin of 6.5 lengths. Speedy Carerro was cleared.
Monterra Miss trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 28.4kgs. The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25 lengths. Monterra Miss was cleared.
Breasha trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 5, weight 23.8kgs (new declared weight). The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.52. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25 lengths. Breasha was not cleared.
