The Club Manager, Mr J Brilliant, advised  that the track was top dressed, graded and power harrowed on Wednesday, 18 May 2016.

Proven Malibu and Who Took Johny were quick to begin.  Be To Bomber and Spring Kitty collided soon after the start.  Blanco Canyon and Spring Kitty collided approaching the first turn.  Blanco Canyon and Spring Kitty collided on the first turn, checking Spring Kitty which collided with Atomiser, resulting in  Atomiser  and Lektra Destiny being checked and causing Spring Kitty to fall.

Spring Kitty was vetted following the event. It was reported the greyhound suffered bruising to the right hindleg metatarsal and injured left hindleg groin.  A five day standown period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Arrow Allen.

Power Sensation and Monaleen Ned collided soon after the start.  Signal Peak and Just Tooie collided approaching the first turn.  Unlocked and Flaming Causeway collided approaching the first turn.  Nussin Much, Just Tooie and Flaming Causeway collided on the first turn, checking Just Tooie, Flaming Causeway and Monaleen Ned.  Signal Peak eased approaching the home turn.  Power Sensation and Flaming Causeway collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Quinlivian, the trainer of the greyhound Signal Peak regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Signal Peak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to right hindleg fibula, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Signal Peak with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Quinlivian pleaded guilty to the charge, Signal Peak was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Allen Boydy and Our Luck were slow to begin.  Superstar Jatt crossed to the inside soon after the start, checking Stocktake and Our Luck.  Dyna Flash, Crackerjack Sam and Lektra Bandit collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Bandit and Superstar Jatt.  Crackerjack Sam and Lektra Bandit collided on the first turn, checking Crackerjack Sam, Our Luck and Stocktake.  Allen Boydy and Dyna Flash collided on the home turn.

Honouring Percy went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Suspicious Sam was slow to begin.  Velo Girl and Mi Diablo collided soon after the start.  Honouring Percy, Alchemy and Mi Diablo collided approaching the first turn, checking Alchemy.  Honouring Percy and Sillybilly Bling collided approaching the home turn.  Alchemy and Suspicious Sam collided on the home turn.  Velo Girl and Quarterback collided approaching the winning post.

By The Gallon and All Inn Amy were slow to begin.  Ponting's Nail and Glitterbug collided soon after the start.  Crackerjack Dak and Cryer's Fred collided approaching the first turn, checking Crackerjack Dak which lost considerable ground.  Elbow Room, Glitterbug and Big Barking Bert collided on the first turn, checking Elbow Room.  By The Gallon and Big Barking Bert collided in the home straight.  Elbow Room checked off Glitterbug appraoching the winning post.

Crackerjack Dak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

American Monster was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left foreleg wrist, right foreleg shoulder, right hindleg fibula, left and right hindleg triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Fleet Return - the winner of the event.

Poker Brat, All Inn Tops and Gunnadoo Will were slow to begin.  Monaleen Deejay and Spring Drifter collided approaching the first turn, checking Spring Drifter.  Poker Brat, Monaleen Deejay and Little Makril collided on the first turn, checking Little Makril and severely checking Poker Brat.  Poker Brat cramped entering the home straight and tailed off.

Poker Brat was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg shoulder injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr H McAdam, the trainer of the greyhound Poker Brat.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
