Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Arrow Allen.

Power Sensation and Monaleen Ned collided soon after the start.  Signal Peak and Just Tooie collided approaching the first turn.  Unlocked and Flaming Causeway collided approaching the first turn.  Nussin Much, Just Tooie and Flaming Causeway collided on the first turn, checking Just Tooie, Flaming Causeway and Monaleen Ned.  Signal Peak eased approaching the home turn.  Power Sensation and Flaming Causeway collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Quinlivian, the trainer of the greyhound Signal Peak regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Signal Peak was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to right hindleg fibula, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Signal Peak with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Quinlivian pleaded guilty to the charge, Signal Peak was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
