Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Burns, the trainer of the greyhound Buckle Up Ivy regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Buckle Up Ivy with marring.  Mr. Burns pleaded not guilty to the charge.  Buckle Up Ivy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Magnificent Pete, Useful, Arctic Blaze, Honchomatic and Pacific Magic were slow to begin.  Paua Hiking and Scanez Jewel collided approaching the first turn. Scanez Jewel and Useful collided on the first turn checking Arctic Blaze and severely checking Honchomatic, Alotta Memories and Pacific Magic.  Magnificent Pete and Useful collided entering the home straight.

Lulugen went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Tinny Time and Buckle Up Jem collided soon after the start.  Buckle Up Gem and Oakmont Blonde collided soon after the start.  Sindy's Girl, Suedon Belle and Karaoke Ken collided approaching the first turn checking Sindy's Girl and Karaoke Ken. Sindy's Girl crossed to the outside on the first turn causing Karaoke Ken to race wide.  Suedon Belle faltered entering the home straight and tailed off as a result.

My Baby Porscha was quick to begin.  Triple Cee, Miss Spence and Buckle Up Omnin collided soon after the start.  Buckle Up Omnin and Miss Spence collided approaching the first turn.  Golden Hand, Buckle Up Omnin and Miss Spence collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Omnin, Miss Spence and Prince Nando.  Buckle Up Brett and Triple Cee collided entering the home straight.

Pacific Reef was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right front foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Chuck's Me Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Pappa Gallo and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:28am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. M. Cortese was fined the sum of $100.

We Froff Dat was a late scratching at 11:41am due to non-arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mrs. H. Gates was fined the sum of $100.

Slipaway Robbie and Just Gus were slow to begin.  Seeya Saturday checked off Cinquedea on the first turn.  Slipaway Robbie and Cinquedea collided in the home straight.

Mr. P. McKenzie, trainer of Phillip Keeping declared a new weight of 30.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Phillip Keeping last raced at 31.8kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Paterson, the trainer of Albert's Patch regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Albert's Patch last raced on 12th October 2015.  Mr. Paterson stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being on season and a new kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Albert's Patch trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 27.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.14.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.5 lengths.  Albert's Patch was cleared.

It's A Buzz trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 6, weight 31.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.14. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  It's A Buzz was cleared.

Margaery Tyrell trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 8, weight 26.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.14.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.5 lengths.  Margaery Tyrell was cleared.
