Zipping Johnny, Sweet Lucy and Allegro Destini were slow to begin.  Zipping Johnny and Sweet Lucy collided soon after the start.  Guard Your Path and Snow Bomber collided approaching the first turn checking Snow Bomber.  Zipping Johnny galloped on the heels of Guard Your Path on the first turn causing Guard Your Path and Desperate Pete to collide.  Snow Bomber raced wide on the first turn checking Allegro Destini.  Sweet Lucy and Snow Bomber collided on the second turn.

Master Kooper was quick to begin.  Oh Lele Simon, Crimson Peak, Mary's Entity and Burnside Charlie collided soon after the start checking Oh Lele Simon and Crimson Peak.  Carve, Daisy Sparkle and Mary's Entity collided approaching the first turn checking Daisy Sparkle.  Mary's Entity and Burnside Charlie collided on the first turn.  Daisy Sparkle and Oh Lele Simon collided on the first turn checking Daisy Sparkle and Crimson Peak; Crimson Peak raced wide as a result.  Daisy Sparkle checked off Oh Lele Simon approaching the second turn.  English and Burnside Charlie collided on the home turn.  Carve checked off Burnside Charlie entering the home straight.

Daisy Sparkle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild swelling to its right monkey muscle.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Danger Bale was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Dyna Nana and Coo Coo Coconuts collided soon after the start.  Tinker Bob and Proviso collided soon after the start.  My Waverly Queen and Tinker Bob collided approaching the first turn.  Proviso and Allen Gantz collided on the first turn.  Dyna Nana galloped on the heels of My Waverly Queen on the first turn.  Dyna Nana, Tinker Bob and Allen Gantz collided on the third turn checking Allen Gantz.  Dyna Nana, My Waverly Queen and Tinker Bob collided on the home turn checking Dyna Nana.

Allen Gantz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Samples were taken from first and third in this event - Coo Coo Coconuts (1st) and Proviso (3rd).

Stewards spoke to Mr. F Hand, the trainer of Proviso regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations. Mr. Hand stated that the greyhound is very immature and as a result the greyhound recieves a considerable amount of interference. Stewards noted Mr. Hands explaination and directed that a sample be taken. 

Boston Shuffle was slow to begin.  Sister Salzburg and Victor Metti collided on the first turn checking Azurite, Big Bold Boomer, Dewana Be Sharp and Retro Flyer.  Too Seductive and Victor Metti collided approaching the second turn.  Boston Shuffle galloped on the heels of Too Seductive approaching the second turn checking Big Bold Boomer and Sister Salzburg; Too Seductive fell as a result.  Dewana Be Sharp and Victor Metti collided entering the front straight.  Dewana Be Sharp, Retro Flyer and Victor Metti collided on the third turn checking Dewana Be Sharp.  Dewana Be Sharp, Victor Metti and Retro Flyer collided in the back straight and again on the fifth turn.  Azurite, Dewana Be Sharp, Retro Flyer and Victor Metti collided on the home turn.  Azurite marred the running of Dewana Be Sharp in the home straight checking Dewana Be Sharp and Retro Flyer.

Azurite was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. James, the trainer of the greyhound Azurite regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1), stewards charged Azurite with marring.  Mr. James pleaded guilty to the charge.  Azurite was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Too Seductive was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left hamstring.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Sister Salzburg was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Dewana Be Sharp was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left front toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Micallef, the representative of the greyhound Dewana Be Sharp.  Stewards deemed the performance of Dewana Be Sharp unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Dewana Be Sharp must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Arrow Allen was quick to begin.  Where's Dex Star was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rowchester Star and Duff Bale collided on the first turn checking Duff Bale.  Rowchester Star and El Chapo collided on the second turn checking El Chapo and Dyna Lemmy.  Rowchester Star, Duff Bale and Where's Dex Star collided on the third turn checking Rowchester Star and Where's Dex Star.  Rowchester Star and Where's Dex Star collided approaching the home turn.

Dyna Leroy and Allen Journo collided on the first turn checking Dyna Leroy.  Quaint Bale and Harvey Leigh collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Allen Journo and Shep collided on the second turn and again in the back straight checking Shep.  Dyna Leroy and Shep collided in the home straight.

Allen Impose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left toe nail.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

What You Say and Rockin' Rico were slow to begin.  Beklana and Alpe D'Blanc collided on the first turn.  What You Say, Jax Mikado and Dundee Calypso collided on the first turn severely checking Jax Mikado.  Calm Bliss and Alpe D'Blanc collided on the second turn checking Jax Mikado, Beklana, Rockin' Rico and Alpe D'Blanc.  Dundee Calypso and Tiger Butch collided on the second turn.  Jax Mikado and Beklana collided several times approaching the third turn severely checking Jax Mikado.

Jax Mikado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Zipping Zeus trialled over the 525 metre distance from box 1, weight 35.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 30.02. The greyhound won by a margin of 2.25 lengths.  Zipping Zeus was cleared.

Sisco Mama trialled over the 525 metre distance from box 3, weight 25.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 30.02. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.5 lengths.  Sisco Mama was cleared.
