Stewards spoke to Mrs J McDowall, the trainer of Mepunga Joffa, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mepunga Joffa last raced on 28 December 2016.  Mrs McDowall stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a fracture to the right hock.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Treherne, the trainer of Kinbrae Millie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kinbrae Millie last raced on 18 January 2017.  Mr Treherne stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal.

Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms C Schembri, regarding the direction that the greyhound Molly Walker be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Rock It Ronny was a late scratching at 9:01 am, due to shoulder injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results - City And Colour trialled over the 390m from box seven, weight 27.6 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  City And Colour was Cleared.
