Mepunga Tycoon and Connemara Black collided soon after the start. Connemara Black, Are You, Sarah Swift and Jimmy Newob collided approaching the first turn, checking Are You and Sarah Swift. Mepunga Tycoon and Wrecker One collided approaching the first turn. Sarah Swift and Wrecker One collided approaching the first turn. Sarah Swift and Wrecker One collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Jimmy Newob galloped on the heels of Starlight Jill entering the home straight.
Wrecker One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the left hind foot. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
