Steward's Report
Red Lagoon was quick to begin.
Greysynd Ash and Dangerwood collided soon after the start. Wicked Hillary and Fawntastic Kate collided soon after the start. Dangerwood, Rythym Taboo and Red Lagoon collided approaching the first turn. Red Lagoon, Rythym Taboo and Wicked Hillary collided on the first turn, severely checking all three greyhounds. Wicked Hillary and Red Lagoon collided approaching the home turn. Rythym Taboo eased entering the home straight, checking Red Lagoon and Wicked Hillary. Greysynd Ash and Sleek Nitro collided several times in the home straight. Red Lagoon and Wicked Hillary collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms Julie Chilcott, the representative of the greyhound Rythym Taboo, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Rythym Taboo was vetted, and revetted following event four. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left sesamoid injury and carpal sprain of the right wrist, a seven-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rythym Taboo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Chilcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Rythym Taboo was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
