Stewards spoke to Mr Keith Kelly, the trainer of Kynan's Revenge, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Kynan's Revenge last races on 7 February, 2017 and is returning from a spell.

Ms Belinda Harley, the trainer of Hillside Lady, declared a new weight of 26.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hillside Lady last raced at 24.5kg.

Ms Belinda Harley, the trainer of Perfect Nature, declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hillside Lady last raced at 26.0kg.

Perfect Nature, Miss Premier, and Mia Crazy were slow to begin. Who's Kaneo went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).

Pure Cascade and Hillside Lady collided soon after the start. Kynan's Revenge and Mia Crazy collided at the 250m mark. Mia Crazy and Pure Cascade collided at the 200m mark.

My Girl Josiah and Grand Juka collided soon after the start. Take The Rapid, Longshot Glory and Matchstick Girl collided at the 300m mark, checking Take The Rapid and Longshot Glory. Longshot Glory checked off Matchstick Girl at the 300m mark and crossed to the outside, checking Miller's Court. Longshot Glory checked off My Girl Josiah at the 250m mark. Like Lily and Take The Rapid collided approaching the 150m mark. My Girl Josiah and Porscha's Girl collided at the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Mr Bruce Wellington, the trainer of Sports Gairn, declared a new weight of 31.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sports Gairn last raced at 30.2kg.

Gammy's Choice and Liberty Diamond collided soon after the start. Rusty Sidebottom and Ernie's Legacy collided soon after the start. Rusty Sidebottom checked off Dane Daisy at the 250m mark. Gammy's Choice and Dane Daisy collided at the 250m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bubsy John.

Jupiter Ascending, Burst Of Magic and Tip Toe collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Raglan Bindi and Dodge Ball collided soon after the start. Bubsy John crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Dodge Ball, Raglan Bindi, Tip Toe and Burst Of Magic. Jupiter Asending crossed to the outside at the 250m mark, causing Bubsy John to race wide. Jupiter Asending and Bubsy John collided several times from the 200m mark to the 50m mark.

Superior Swagger was a late scratching at 10:29am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs Joyce Condon was fined the sum of $100.

Tricky Trey, Scoota Flash and Another Hope were slow to begin.

Mallard crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Mister Blue. Scoota Flash checked off the heels of Ginger Warrior at the 300m mark. Astute Glib and Mister Blue collided several times at the 250m mark. Astute Glib and Mister Blue collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Astute Glib.

French Defence was a late scratching at 8.19am due to illness (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Alouette Josie was slow to begin.

Battle Hook, Bigtime Raider and Alouette Josie collided soon after the start. Dynamic Deano checked off Orataya at the 300m mark. Folding Green checked off Bigtime Radar approaching the winning post.

Two Seasons crossed out at the 300m mark, checking Hey Hey Fozz and Moore Of Darcy. Two Seasons and Mon Mekki Kahn collided at the 150m mark. Stately Kay crossed to the rail at the 150m mark. Escondido was a late scratching at 5.20pm on 22 June 2017 due to injury (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Second Dan and Clear Sense collided soon after the start.

Major Gold crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Still Just Under. Major Gold marred Second Dan at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark, checking Second Dan. Pergamon and Kathy's Lady collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark. Major Gold checked off Second Dan approaching the 200m mark. Pergamon and Major Gold collided approaching the 100m mark.

Major Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Hodgson, the trainer of the greyhound Major Gold, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners between the 250m and 200m mark. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Major Gold with marring. Mr Hodgson pleaded guilty to the charge, Major Gold was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Second Dan, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Paez, the trainer of Tills Henry, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Tills Henry last races on 24 Janurary  2017 and is returning from a left fore tendon injury. Mr Paez also declared a new weight of 32.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tills Henry last raced at 33.6kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr Colin Dalton, the representative of Alira Kate, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Alira Kate last raced on 3 February 2017 and is returning from a dropped back muscle.

Silver Rockstar and Runaround Susan collided soon after the start. Alira Kate faltered at the 250m mark and collided with Iroquois Souljah; Alira Kate tailed off as a result. Iroquois Souljah crossed to the rail at the 200m mark, checking Silver Rockstar. Fiery Nell and Runaround Susan collided at the 200m mark. Tommy Two raced wide throughout the event.

Alira Kate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Dynamite Dozer and Tweedle Dee collided soon after the start. Dynamite Dozer, Irish Connection and Hey Shaza Fozz collided at the 250m mark, checking Hey Shaza Fozz. Tweedle Dee crossed to the outside at the 200m mark, checking Like A Fancy which collided with Dynamite Dozer as a result. Tweedle Dee and My Wrecker collided at the 150m mark.
